	Mark Nevin Mark was the songwriter with Fairground Attraction & wrote their number one hit "Perfect" & has written tunes that have been recorded by David Bowie, Morrissey, Kirsty MacColl, Mica Paris & Ringo Starr to name a few. I played on Mark's first solo album "Insensitve Songwriter" (1999) & have done more recording for the next album as well as numerous live dates. Another band I play & record with, Tim Richards' nine-piece band features the cream of British jazz musicians, all bandleaders in their own right. Formed in 1999 to celebrate 20 years of Tim's legendary Bristol-based band of the 80s and 90s, Spirit Level, the larger group combines the earthiness of blues and funk, the harmonies of contemporary jazz, the rhythms of Africa, and the thrilling combination of structure and freedom provided by Tim's innovative writing. 	Jazz Percussion Quintet Formed by drummer/percussionist Chris Baron this band has released 2 albums "All Bluff & Porterage" & "All Bluff & Porterage 2" (FMR Records). The line-up also includes Paul Clarvis & Julian Fairbank & has at various times included other top UK tuned percussionists Anthony Kerr & Frank Ricotti. This band seems to be on hold as Chris Baron is busy with a young family & holds the marimba chair in the London version of musical "The Lion King". That seems to take up all his time & energy. Officially the band hasn't split up but on the other hand there have been no gigs since 1999 & there are none in my diary. It's an interesting project though so I'm awaiting developments.
